Description de l'emploi

We are currently seeking a Chief Accountant on behalf of our client.
ASAP.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a team of accountants by providing necessary support and guidance, ensuring alignment of their technical and interpersonal skills with company requirements.
• Oversee all accounting operations, including general and analytical accounting, to ensure compliance with Tunisian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Ensure timely monthly bank reconciliation statement closures, suspense clearance, and account justifications.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings in collaboration with internal and external departments.
• Organize and supervise periodic inventory counts.
• Prepare monthly payroll and local financial statements within regulatory deadlines.
• Supervise the preparation of tax and social security declarations in accordance with current regulations.
• Act as the point of contact for auditors and tax authorities.
• Collaborate with other departments on various aspects.
• Lead specific projects to enhance accounting processes, including optimizing the use of existing tools such as ERP.
• Stay updated on tax, accounting, and social security regulations, and propose adjustments to internal company practices as needed.
• Perform necessary account reconciliations.

Exigences de l'emploi

Requirements :

• Holder of a higher education degree in accounting.
• Excellent command of Tunisian accounting standards and satisfactory competence in IFRS.
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in accounting roles, with a strong preference for previous experience in a multinational context.
• Proven experience in managing accounting teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Dynamics NAV (Navision) and O365 required.
• Proficiency in Sage payroll.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Attention to detail, pronounced autonomy, adherence to deadlines, and ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.
• Strong commitment to professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Very good command of French and English.
