OPPORTUNITY

Take part in building the next-generation AI-powered toolbox for life sciences organizations

We are looking for a full-stack developer to join our development team. You will be primarily responsible for the development of user interfaces for several desktop applications and a user platform designed for professionals from the life science sector. You will also contribute to back-end development.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary, international development team. The role requires excellent coding skills, combined with a good aptitude at communicating with and understanding the needs of users with different backgrounds.

Tasks and responsibilities include the following:

• Design and develop web (react) applications. Responsible for full lifecycle of applications, from design, through implementation and deployment.
• Build highly functional user interfaces, with appealing visual design. Work closely with designers.
• Successful delivery of your application into production.
• Follow modern JavaScript / Typescript best practices.
• Cover code with e2e / unit tests.
• Continuous improvement of all development and deployment processes.
• Regular and clear communication of progress to the team.
• Writing technical documentation

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent JavaScript skills
• Good knowledge of React
• Experience with css preprocessors scss/less
• Experience with UI libraries (material design and/or similar)
• Knowledge of REST API design, usage and testing
• Good knowledge of data structures / algorithms / space and time complexity
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English.

Bonus points for:

• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices (GitHub Actions preferably)
• Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Knowledge of cloud concepts (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
• Open Source contributions and/or projects
• StackOverflow contributions
• Broad computer science knowledge
• Good knowledge of data structures / algorithms / space and time complexity
