Fashion Buyer

NOURTEX is seeking an experienced and passionate Fashion Buyer to join our dynamic team. As a Fashion Buyer, you will be responsible for selecting and curating the clothing and accessories collections sold on our platform. You will keep up-to-date with the latest fashion trends, build strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure that we offer a range of products that appeal to our target audience. This role requires a blend of creativity, negotiation skills, and market awareness to help NOURTEX grow its product portfolio and maintain its position as a leading e-commerce fashion brand.

Key ResponsibilitiesTrend Research and Product Selection

• Stay Current on Trends: Continuously research global fashion trends, consumer preferences, and emerging designers to keep the NOURTEX collection fresh and relevant.
• Product Curation: Select and curate clothing and accessories that align with the company’s brand identity, ensuring that the products reflect the latest trends and meet customer demands.
• Attend Fashion Shows & Trade Shows: Represent NOURTEX at international fashion events, industry fairs, and exhibitions to discover new trends, suppliers, and product opportunities.

Supplier Management and Negotiation

• Develop Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring a reliable supply chain for high-quality products.
• Negotiate Terms: Negotiate the best possible prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage Orders: Place purchase orders with suppliers, manage reorders based on product performance, and ensure timely delivery to meet sales and promotional timelines.

Inventory and Stock Management

• Monitor Stock Levels: Work closely with the inventory management team to monitor stock levels, avoid overstocking or stockouts, and adjust orders based on demand.
• Analyze Sales Performance: Regularly review sales data to identify bestsellers, underperforming products, and emerging trends. Adjust future buys accordingly.
• Forecasting: Collaborate with the merchandising team to forecast demand for key products and collections based on sales trends, customer feedback, and market research.

Pricing and Profitability

• Set Competitive Prices: Work with the pricing team to establish competitive retail prices that align with NOURTEX’s positioning while maximizing profitability.
• Profit Margins: Ensure that product purchases contribute to overall profitability goals by negotiating effectively and managing costs.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Work

• Work with Design and Marketing Teams: Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to ensure that selected products align with seasonal campaigns, marketing initiatives, and customer profiles.
• Customer Insights: Leverage customer feedback and reviews to improve future buying decisions, ensuring the NOURTEX product range remains relevant and appealing.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fashion Buyer in retail or e-commerce, preferably in the fashion or apparel industry.
• Proven experience in trend forecasting, supplier negotiation, and working with international vendors.

• Fashion Expertise: A strong eye for fashion and understanding of seasonal trends, customer preferences, and fashion cycles.
• Negotiation Skills: Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers while maintaining quality.
• Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, understand market dynamics, and make informed purchasing decisions.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in managing product details, including fabrics, sizing, and production timelines, to ensure a high-quality product range.
