Solar PV Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Solar PV Engineer with a strong background in both solar system design and on-site installations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-bid Engineering: Review tender documents, perform basic designs, and develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the tender stage.
• AutoCAD Designs: Create detailed AutoCAD designs for solar energy systems, including site layouts and electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• PVsyst Design: Conduct solar energy modelling and simulations to optimize system performance and energy yield using specialized software tools and methodologies.
• System BOS (Balance of System): Calculate the BOS for PV systems, including cabling, DCB, earthing materials, accessories, and more.
• Post-bid enginnering : Perfrom the detaild design for C&I Projects
• System installations : Project installations and troubleshoot design issues at the field level.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in solar design or a related field.

Technical Skills Requirements:

• Installaiton expeience : the candidate shall be worked in diffrent types of projects installations ( on-grid , off-grid and water pumps)
• Proficiency in PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Knowledge of electrical codes, wiring regulations, and IEC standards for solar PV systems.
• Hands-on experience in installing and commissioning PV systems (rooftop & ground-mounted).
• Experience with battery storage systems and hybrid solar solutions
• Familiarity with data logging, and remote monitoring solutions for PV plants.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel to project sites as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles.
• Knowledge of solar PV equipment, including modules, inverters, mounting systems, and industry standards and regulations.
