Maintenance & Safety Supervisor

Sud Béton Company, branch of SECIL Group, one of the main actors of Ready-Mix Concrete in Tunisia with plants in Sfax, Gabès, Zarzis & Djerba is recruiting a:

Maintenance & Safety Supervisor: Reference “SB.S03.25”

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans, including preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
• Develop incident management and other safety plans based on risk assessment, incorporating knowledge of safety regulations and compliance measures.
• Manage a team of technicians and mechanics, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations.
• Detect and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on heavy equipment such as concrete mixers trucks, pump trucks and concrete plants.
• Oversee the maintenance budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, and 31000).
• Utilize GMAO software to manage maintenance activities, track equipment history, and generate reports.
• Ensure effective traffic control techniques are in place to safeguard workers and those passing through a work zone or site during maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance staff can identify, report, and/or remediate road safety deficiencies.
• Promote a positive organizational safety culture.

Qualifications :

• Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Industrial Engineer’s University Degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within the heavy equipment or manufacturing industry, preferably in the BPW sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Budgeting/Cost Control, asset management and proficiency in GMAO software.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and Compliance.
• Safety culture promotion with an eye on Hazard & Risk Analysis.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
