Extech Cloud are a leading IT solutions and service specialist providing IT support predominantly medium sized businesses in the UK.
In order to support the next phase of rapid growth we have a requirement for 2rd line IT Engineer who will provide the highest level of remote and on-site problem solving. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a helpdesk support role looking for a new challenge and looking to develop their skills further.

Technical Requirements :


Knowledge and experience in administering and troubleshooting the following products:

• Office 365

• Azure Active Directory

• Azure including Virtual servers and Intune

• Azure Active Directory

• SharePoint

• Exchange 2010/2013/2016

• Exchange Hybrid with 365

• Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10

• Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019

• Active Directory • Firewall Configuration • VPNs - IPSEC/PPTP/SSL • DHCP, DNS, Group Policies • Common desktop applications, Office 2010/13/16, Sage etc.


Knowledge/experience of some or all the following is also an advantage:


• Azure Autopilot

• Exchange Hybrid with 365 (AD Connect)

• Understanding of SaaS, Iaas and PasS

• Working knowledge of server hardware, more specifically HP Proliant Hardware

• Knowledge of TCP/IP and packet analysis

• Working knowledge of RAID performance and benefits

• Switch configuration including VLANs and routing

• VOIP

• MS SQL Server administration

• VMWare/Hyper-V


Experience and personal attributes

• Experience in an IT helpdesk environment

• Good customer awareness, ability to manage customer expectations

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Effective communication skills and style, able to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

• Self-starter, self-motivated, team player

• Able to work under pressure and against SLA to a resolution

• Keen interest in technology and innovation

• A good understanding
