Overview of Role

The Merchandising Operations Coordinator supports the Merchandising and Product Development team with development and execution of all product assortments. He/she will assist in the day-to-day activities with cross-functional departments including Product Development (PD), Sourcing, Ops, Marketing, Creative, and PDM as needed or required.

What you will do:

  • Adhere to Product Development and QPP (quarterly planning) calendars, and manage deadlines and deliverables with internal and external partners
  • Work with Sr. Merchandising Manager and Global Director of Merchandising, and serve as the primary liaison for the Quarterly Planning Process (QPP) to set key quarterly calendar dates that impact the work stream in Merchandising Operations: Line Planning, SKU Creation & Activation
  • Attend Quarterly Kick-off and New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings and pay particular attention to product details that are discussed; ask questions if needed
  • Request SKUs for all in-house and drop-ship fulfilled SKUs in our Product Information Management (PIM) tool
  • Partner with PDM to maintain product information in the Product Information Management (PIM) tool, ensuring SKUs reflect accurate information and point to the correct BOM
  • Prepare and send quarterly Line Plans to cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Product Development, Marketing, Planning, and PDM to execute requests for virtual SKUs, including updating product names, copy, retails, and images
  • Prepare Merch Request form (aka, “product load file”) for monthly and ad hoc launches and work with PDM to execute name, copy, suggested retails, images, cross-sell’s/up-sell’s, and page assignment as needed
  • Follow up with Site team on launches as soon ticket is created by PDM team (categorization, translation, QA on site, etc...)
  • Provide input into quarterly Readiness and Line Review decks
  • Communicate product launch information, including big & medium bets, to cross-functional partners
  • Perform regular site audits: check for correct name, copy, retail, images, cross-sell’s/up-sell’s, and page assignment
  • Ensure products are merchandised on pages according to the merchandising plan.
  • Find and share any process efficiency ideas to improve the Go-to-Market.
  • Follow-up on projects as necessary.
  • Manage ad hoc projects such as SKU clean-up initiatives, item set-up improvements, etc.
  • Attends meetings as required
  • Support other fun and exciting new projects related to growing the business

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 – 3 years’ data management experience within Excel (Required)
  • Passionate about product with enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally to both internal and external partners
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow direction, and patience for tasks repetitive in nature
  • Accountable and able to quickly build trust with a high-performance team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment with multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) – must be comfortable in working with spreadsheets with large amounts of data, comparing multiple spreadsheets, etc.
  • Problem solving skills a plus
