Implementation Engineer

Summary of the position:

M&C is seeking a passionate and customer focused Implementation Engineer. The Implementation Engineer will work on one of the leading solution for airlines in the industry and will be in charge of implementing the product in a timely manner and maximize customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

• In charge of the technical set up of the System in different environments (DB, Interfaces, batches, etc) 
• Assists the client and functional experts during the Implementation Process (testing, functional set up, etc)
• Investigate issues reported by clients and correct and/or recover them
• Support customer post go live until project closure and handover to line organization.                   
• Create/maintain the technical documentation.
• Report progress to project manager and customers.
• Ensure solutions are implemented on time and budget.
• Learn from experience and improve quality of future implementations.
• Propose best practices and improvement.
• Train/coach newcomers.

• Master/Engineering degree in IT.
• Capacity to understand complex functional flows and processes.
• Stress management.
• Good analytical, decision making, and trouble shooting skills.
• Multitasking.
• Knowledge of the Travel industry is a strong plus.
• Knowledge/experience of Unix/Linux environments (shell, scripting).
• Knowledge/experience of Python
• Knowledge/experience of SQL
• Knowledge of transfer protocols (FTP, SSH, etc)
• Good command of English, other languages are a plus.
• Ability to work and contribute in a team environment.

• Up to 2 years experience.
