The main role of the ISO 14001 environmental consultant is to plan, build and manage programs to bring your environmental management system into line with the ISO 14001 standard.

In addition to the ISO 14001 certification process, the environmental consultant, who is also IRCA certified, carries out internal audits and promotes compliance with good environmental practices through internal communication and awareness-raising initiatives.

1. **IATF 16949:2016 Certification**:

• The consultant must have IATF 16949:2016 certification, which is the quality management system standard specific to the automotive industry. He/she must also have VDA 6.3 process auditor certification.
• The IATF 16949 consultant's mission is to verify the compliance with the requirements of IATF 16949:2016. Also, must help the company to demonstrate the ability to consistently supply products and services that comply with the standard, additional customer requirements (CSR customers specific requirements) and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
• The auditor's mission requires mastery of the automotive industry's Core Tools - FMECA, SPC, APQP/PPAP and MSA - and verification of their implementation within the company.

2. **Understanding of IATF 16949 Requirements**: A comprehensive understanding of the requirements outlined in the IATF 16949 standard, particularly those relevant to wire harness manufacturing and automotive electrical systems.
3. **Extensive Automotive Industry Experience**: The consultant should have significant experience working within the automotive industry, preferably in roles related to wire harness manufacturing or automotive electrical systems.
4. **Expertise in Wire Harness Manufacturing**: In-depth knowledge of wire harness manufacturing processes, including design, production, testing, and quality control procedures, is essential.
5. **Auditing Experience**: The consultant should have experience conducting audits in accordance with IATF 16949 standards and VDA 6.3, including internal audits within automotive manufacturing facilities.
6. **Problem-Solving Skills**: The ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and implement effective corrective actions within the wire harness manufacturing process.
7. **Communication Skills**:

• Strong communication skills are necessary to effectively liaise with automotive manufacturers, communicate audit findings, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• The consultant manages and monitors action plans in direct contact with the customer.
• The consultant helps train staff in the IATF standard and basic tools.
