IT Functional Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, Testers, and Technical Experts to find innovative solutions that meet business requirements using technologies like SOA, Microservices, and Cloud Computing.
• Develop functional specifications that developers and testers can easily utilize, integrating tools such as Confluence, Jira, and MS DevOps for project management and documentation.
• Support developers and testers throughout the development and testing phases, providing expert guidance on database design, modeling, and the implementation of web services (SOAP, REST APIs).
• Participate in functional and systems testing activities, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our solutions.
• Engage in process analysis and re-engineering to optimize workflows and system functionality, employing BPMN, UML, and ER modeling techniques.
• Bridge the gap between IT and business units using data analytics, delivering comprehensive reports and recommendations to stakeholders and executives.
• Design and develop Microservices Architecture, ensuring seamless API integration and design, and implementing API gateways.
• Advocate for best practices in RESTful API design, employing OpenAPI, OAuth, and other relevant standards to enhance system interoperability and user experience.
• Drive the adoption of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in IT Functional Analysis, with a strong technical background in database design, SOA technology, web services, JAVA, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, MS DevOps, and other project management and documentation tools.
• Expertise in BPMN, UML, ER modeling, and an object-oriented approach to software development.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with XML, XSD, WSDL, JSON, Swagger, Postman, and messaging queues.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture design and development, API integration, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with backend for frontend (BFF) design, CQRS, Elasticsearch, data synchronization strategies, and event-driven architecture.
• Excellent analytical skills, capable of writing functional specifications, user stories, BR specs, user manuals, and other technical documentation.
• Fluent in English and French
