Summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated and diligent EHS Manager to join our Team. You will develop, implement, and monitor company environmental health and safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Also maintain safety equipment inventory, perform periodic safety inspections, and supervise hazardous waste removal vendors. Interacting with a variety of departments, conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling and alert leadership team with corrective action where EHS hazards exist.

 

What will you be doing!

  • Coordinate and inspect construction and environmental remediation activities.
  • Investigate injuries/illnesses, near-misses and environmental incidents.
  • Manage and direct site in achieving EHS targets & objectives.
  • Develop, implement and improve Environmental Health & Safety programs and processes including emergency preparedness and fire protection, safety risk assessments and safe working procedures for non-office activities, hazardous waste management, training, ergonomics, contractor safety, and crisis management.
  • Provide status updates and recommendations to senior management on program and policy development for health, safety and environmental compliance programs.
  • Supervise & inspect employees for compliance with PPE and other regulations.
  • Analyze budgets to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Stay informed of industry effective approaches providing input and leadership in development and roll-out of companywide policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and evaluates hazardous conditions and practices and develop hazard control practices and programs.

Exigences de l'emploi

What you'll bring!

  • Professional in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related fields with experience in EHS at manufacturing.
  • Specialization in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene or similar occupational license.
  • Experience supervising, leading, and developing EHS professionals.
  • Comprehensive understanding of EHS regulations and requirement
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • English and French is a must.
