Payroll specialist - Oil & Gas

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Tunis

1.Payroll Processing:

• Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, including data input, calculations, and disbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Verify and reconcile payroll data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

2.Compliance and Regulations:

• Stay up-to-date with Libyan and Tunisian employment laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in payroll processing and reporting.

• Implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.

3.Sage Payroll Management:

• Utilize Sage payroll software to manage payroll tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies in Sage payroll systems.

4.Employee Support:

• Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees, providing timely and accurate assistance.

• Assist employees with payroll-related documentation, such as tax forms and direct deposit setup.

5.Reporting and Analysis:

• Generate payroll reports as needed, analyzing data for accuracy and completeness.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll data analysis to improve processes and efficiency.

6.Communication and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations and alignment with organizational goals.

• Communicate payroll-related updates, changes, and deadlines to relevant stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry or EPC environment.
• Strong proficiency in Sage payroll software and other payroll-related tools.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with Libyan and Tunisian employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle large-scale payroll processes, ideally for over 400 employees.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling payroll data.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization.
