Senior Legal Officer

Adecco is recruiting for one of its clients Senior Legal Officer 

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance and support to the bank's units including the business units on day-to-day matters.
• Take part in establishing and drafting loan agreements handled by the Legal Department as well as their related documents (notifications, amendments, guarantees, releases, etc...).
• Ensure a complete and proper listing of signed agreements and their collaterals, take care of their safe keeping and manage the periodic reporting of collaterals of the Legal Department's members.
• Provide with legal opinion on the loan files and the guarantees submitted to Legal Department.
• Study and examine carefully the accounts opening files of legal entities and provide with the right comments.
• Keep abreast of the Laws and Regulations and inform the Legal Department's members about their impact on the bank's activity.
• Take part in the processing of seizures, administrative oppositions and requests from public authorities transmitted to the bank in due time and in accordance with the Law requirements and procedures of the bank.
• Draft correspondences and notes to the bank's departments and contractual arrangements.
• Investigate legal claims and complaints by or against the Bank together with external lawyer, assess the output of external lawyers and their progress on the entrusted files through periodic meetings.
• Gather and organize the litigation documentation available and prepare a related monitoring table.

Qualifications

1. Knowledge: 

• Knowledge of Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, Contracts Administration, Judicial Procedures.

1. Education/ Certifications:

• Master’s degree in business law or another relevant/ similar field

1. Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years in legal function or law firm.
• Legal experience in the banking sector is preferred.

1. Language:

• Fluent in Arabic, French and English.
