Network and Systems Administrator

Summary: M&C is currently seeking a Network and Infrastructure Engineer who will be responsible for managing and evolving its systems and IT infrastructure. Beyond technical mastery of the role, the candidate will also be responsible for proposing and strengthening the company's IT policy to support its growth, ensure security requirements, and remain at the forefront of technology

 Responsabilities : 

Manage and monitor Network and IT Infrastructure: 

• Implement and maintain robust security protocols across network equipment, including firewalls, switches, and routers. 
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks. 
• Monitor user activity and network traffic to prevent data breaches and unauthorized access. 
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. 
• Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), antivirus software, and endpoint protection solutions, Active Directory, endpoint security, surveillance systems, and security protocols for Windows, macOS, Ubuntu. 
• Troubleshoot network issues, security incidents, and optimize security infrastructure for maximum protection. 
• Oversee security access control systems, including surveillance cameras, access control mechanisms, and authentication protocols, to ensure physical and digital security across the organization. 
• Maintain records of all hardware assets and ensure optimal functionality. 
• Diagnose and escalate technical issues, perform regular inventory checks, and manage asset requests. 
• Set up systems for new users and evaluate system performance during employee transitions. 

Manage Cloud Productivity Suites like Microsoft 365 and G suite 

• User Management: Create, modify, and delete user accounts; manage permissions and settings. 
• Vendor Interaction and Upgrades: Coordinate with vendors for support, updates, and feature enhancements. 
• Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve user issues and address technical problems promptly. 
• Security Implementation and Monitoring: Implement security policies, access controls, and monitor user activities. 
• Data Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and regulatory compliance measures are adhered to. 

• Operating Systems and Platforms: Windows, linux, Mac OS 
• Cloud Productivity Suites: Microsoft 365 Administration (User Management, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive), Google Workspace Administration (G Suite) (User Management, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs) and Cloud Security Policies. 
• IT Infrastructure: Firewall Configuration and Management (FortiGate), Endpoint Protection Solutions Configuration, Active Directory Management and Group Policy Objects (GPO). 
• Network: RDP, Port Forwarding, NAT, IDPS, Wireless Access Points (WAPs) Configuration and Management, LAN Troubleshooting (Network Connectivity, Performance Issues),VPN Protocols (IPSec, SSL/TLS VPN), SSID Configuration and Security Settings. 
• Physical Security Systems: Access Control, CCTV, DVR Configuration 
• Scripting and Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python.

Academic background 

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, networking, or related field  
• An experience ranging from 1 year to 3 years
