About the Project

For upcoming industrial automation and plant engineering projects in Germany, we are building a highly qualified automation engineering team in Tunisia.

The projects involve complex machine and plant control systems for the German market, executed through a structured nearshoring model: engineering and software development in Tunisia, with technical coordination and project management aligned to German industry standards.

We are looking for experienced engineers who are used to industrial environments, commissioning phases, and structured project execution.

Your Responsibilities

• Development of PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal (S7-1200 / S7-1500)

• Implementation of modular and scalable control architectures

• Integration of distributed I/O, drives, fieldbus systems (Profinet, Profibus)

• Implementation of safety concepts using S7-F / Profisafe (depending on project setup)

• Commissioning support (remote and/or on-site depending on phase)

• Structured testing, documentation, and version control

• Close collaboration with project management and mechanical/electrical engineering teams

• Optional: Integration and commissioning of KUKA robotic systems.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Siemens TIA Portal

• Strong experience in industrial machine or plant commissioning

• Solid understanding of industrial automation concepts (state machines, safety logic, motion control)

• Experience with structured PLC programming and clean software architecture

• Ability to analyze electrical diagrams and functional descriptions independently

• Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory

• Structured, reliable and self-driven working style

• Ability to work in an international, project-driven environment

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Siemens S7-F / Profisafe safety programming

• Experience with KUKA robot programming and commissioning

• Knowledge of drive systems (e.g., SINAMICS)

• Experience with industrial communication protocols

• Previous experience in projects for the German market
