PeopleSoft Developer Profile (Senior)

Role: Senior PeopleSoft Developer / Technical Consultant

Focus: Development, customization, integrations, and technical support of

PeopleSoft applications.

Typical Experience Requirements

• 5–10+ years experience with PeopleSoft development.

• Strong experience with PeopleTools (8.5x+).

• Experience with PeopleSoft HCM or Financials implementations.

• Experience with enterprise integrations and middleware.

• Familiarity with Oracle databases and SQL optimization.

• Experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades or large system

implementations.

Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft customizations using

PeopleTools components such as Application Designer, Application

Engine, Component Interface, and Integration Broker.

• Develop and maintain PeopleCode for business logic, validations,

and workflow automation.

• Create and maintain SQL scripts, views, and stored procedures to

support PeopleSoft applications.

Integration

using:

• Implement integrations between PeopleSoft and external systems

• Integration Broker

• REST/SOAP Web Services

• Component Interfaces

• File-based interfaces

• Support inbound and outbound data integrations with systems such

as Oracle HCM Cloud, Identity Management tools, or other enterprise

systems.

Reporting and Data

• Develop reports using:

• PS Query

• nVision

• BI Publisher• Support data extraction, migration, and transformation during

projects, upgrades, or system integrations.

System Enhancements and Customizations

• Customize PeopleSoft components, pages, records, and fields

using Application Designer.

• Implement UI enhancements including Fluid User Interface

components where required.

Testing and Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing, system testing, and debugging of PeopleSoft

customizations.

• Support SIT and UAT phases by resolving technical defects.

Upgrades and Maintenance

• Support PeopleSoft upgrades and patches using:

• Change Assistant

• PeopleSoft Upgrade Manager

• Change Impact Analyzer

• Analyze retrofit impacts on custom objects during upgrades.

Performance Optimization

• Analyze and optimize system performance:

• SQL tuning

• Application Engine optimization

• Database indexing strategies.

Documentation

• Produce and maintain technical documentation:

• Technical design documents

• Integration specifications

• Deployment procedures

• Knowledge base articles.

Change Management

• Manage migrations across environments (DEV → TEST → PROD).

• Use version control and change management processes for

PeopleSoft components.
