Job Description:

The Plant Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and optimal performance of all production and utility equipment at the plant. The role aims to minimize downtime, control maintenance costs, and ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting production targets and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Strategy & Execution

· Define, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies.

· Ensure high equipment availability and reliability to support production plans.

· Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on major breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.

· Develop and manage shutdown and overhaul plans.

Team Leadership & Organization

· Manage, coach, and develop the plant maintenance team.

· Define clear roles, objectives, and performance indicators for maintenance staff.

· Ensure adequate skills and training levels across the team.

· Coordinate internal teams and external contractors.

Planning & Scheduling

· Establish effective maintenance planning and scheduling processes.

· Ensure proper prioritization of work orders in alignment with production needs.

· Optimize spare parts availability and inventory management.

Budget & Cost Control

· Prepare and manage the maintenance budget.

· Control maintenance costs while ensuring asset integrity.

· Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

Safety, Compliance & Standards

· Ensure maintenance activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

· Enforce safe work practices (LOTO, permits, risk assessments).

· Support audits and inspections (internal and external).

Continuous Improvement & Projects

· Lead continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, Lean Maintenance, reliability programs).

· Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and industrial projects.

· Drive digitalization and CMMS effectiveness.

Reporting & KPIs

· Track and report maintenance KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, downtime, backlog, costs).

· Provide clear and accurate maintenance performance reporting to management.

Qualifications:

Education

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Experience

· Minimum 5–8 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including leadership roles.

· Strong experience in manufacturing or process industries.

· Proven experience in preventive and reliability-based maintenance.

· Availability for emergency interventions and shutdown periods

· Authority to stop equipment or production for safety or asset protection reasons
