Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing manufacturing operations to ensure products are produced safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role leads production teams, manages resources and schedules, monitors performance metrics, and drives continuous improvement in efficiency, cost, quality, and compliance. The Production Manager collaborates closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance to achieve operational targets and support business objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  Plan, organize, and manage daily production activities to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery targets.

  Develop and execute production plans and schedules in alignment with customer demand and business objectives

  Lead, coach, and supervise production teams, including shift leaders and operators

  Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards

  Monitor production performance using KPIs (OEE, productivity, scrap, downtime, etc.) and implement corrective actions

  Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to improve efficiency and reduce waste

  Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment availability and reliability

  Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, quality, and planning to ensure smooth operations

  Manage production budgets, labor utilization, and material consumption

  Identify and resolve operational issues, risks, and bottlenecks proactively

  Support new product introductions, process changes, and capacity expansions

  Prepare and present production reports to senior management

Minimum Basic Qualifications:.

  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field

  5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role

  Proven experience managing production teams, schedules, and KPIs

  Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards

  Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar)

  Ability to analyze production data and implement corrective actions

  Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and standard Microsoft Office tools

  Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
