Purpose of the Job :

The Senior accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's financial reporting and accounting functions. This role includes preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and performing audits to maintain financial integrity. The Senior Accountant also analyzes financial data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. Additionally, they may supervise junior accounting staff, streamline accounting processes, and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial records and effective budget management

Job Description : 

- Assist in cash flow management and forecasting.

- Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations.

- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

- Ensure compliance with internal controls and risk management procedures.

- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations

- Manage and oversee the general ledger and journal entries.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.

- Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.

- Analyze financial discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for all transactions.

- Manage tax compliance, including preparation and filing of tax returns.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 3–4 years of professional accounting experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS and local accounting regulations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills in English.
