01. ABOUT EDUSMART

EduSmart is an international education company specializing in Study Abroad, Language Training, International Education Services, Translation and Academic Support.

As part of the development of our German Language Services, we are looking for a qualified, dynamic and student-focused German Teacher to join our team. The teacher will contribute to the delivery and development of EduSmart's German language programs, supporting students, professionals and Study Abroad applicants throughout their language-learning journey

02. POSITION OVERVIEW

The German Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality German language training to different audiences, including: Teenagers Adults

University students

Study Abroad applicants

Professionals

Corporate clients

The role combines German language teaching, exam preparation, Business German, translation support, student assessment and educational activities. 

The teacher should be able to adapt teaching methods according to each learner's level, objectives and learning needs. The role follows the learner journey: ASSESS → ORIENT → TEACH → PRACTICE → EVALUATE → PROGRESS

03. GERMAN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Main Responsibilities Prepare and deliver engaging and structured German language lessons. Teach individual and group classes. Teach German to teenagers and adults. Deliver both in-person and online classes when required. Teach different levels according to the CEFR framework, from beginner to advanced levels. Develop students' skills in:

Sprechen

Hören

Lesen

Schreiben

Teach grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and practical communication. Adapt teaching methods and materials according to students' needs and objectives. Create an interactive, motivating and professional learning environment. Prepare lesson plans, exercises and learning materials. Encourage students to actively communicate in German

04. GERMAN LANGUAGE EXAM PREPARATION

The teacher will contribute to EduSmart's German language examination preparation services.

Exams may include:

Goethe-Zertifikat

ÖSD

telc

TestDaF

DSH, when applicable

Responsibilities

Assess students' initial German level.

Develop structured exam preparation plans.

Prepare exercises and practice materials.

Conduct mock exams and exam simulations.

Train students across the four language skills.

Teach exam strategies and time management.

Explain exam formats and requirements.

Identify students' weaknesses and areas for improvement.

Provide personalized feedback and guidance.

Monitor progress throughout the preparation program.

Adapt training plans according to the student's target exam and objectives.

05. BUSINESS GERMAN

The teacher may deliver German language programs designed for professionals and companies.

Training areas may include:

Professional communication

Business vocabulary

Workplace communication

Emails and professional writing

Meetings

Presentations

Telephone communication

Interviews

Communication with international clients and partners

Responsibilities

Assess the language and communication needs of professionals or corporate clients.

Develop Business German programs according to their objectives.

Adapt training materials to different industries and professional profiles.

Create practical and workplace-oriented activities.

Deliver individual or group corporate training.

Monitor learner progress and provide professional feedback.

07. STUDY ABROAD LANGUAGE SUPPORT

As German is particularly relevant for students preparing to study in Germanspeaking countries, the teacher may support EduSmart's international education services.

Responsibilities

Help students develop the German level required for their academic objectives.

Support students preparing for German language requirements.

Prepare students for relevant language examinations.

Help students develop confidence in academic and everyday German communication.

Provide recommendations regarding language progression and preparation.

Collaborate with EduSmart's Study Abroad and Academic teams when required.

08. WORKSHOPS & EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The teacher will participate in EduSmart's language workshops and educational activities when required.

German Speaking Workshops

Grammar Workshops

Pronunciation Workshops

German for Study Abroad Workshops

Exam Preparation Workshops

German Learning Sessions

Language Orientation Sessions

Educational Webinars

The teacher may also contribute to the development of new German language programs and workshops.

09. EDUCATIONAL CONTENT & ACADEMIC CONTRIBUTION

The teacher may contribute to EduSmart's educational content and languagelearning resources.

Responsibilities

Develop German language exercises and learning resources.

Prepare educational materials for students.

Suggest ideas for German-learning content.

Participate in educational videos when required.

Contribute to language tips and educational campaigns.

Participate in webinars or live educational sessions.

Support the Marketing and Content teams with German language expertise.

10. STUDENT ASSESSMENT & PROGRESS TRACKING

The teacher will participate in the assessment and follow-up of students throughout their learning journey.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial level assessments.

Identify students' strengths and weaknesses.

Recommend the appropriate level or training program.

Monitor attendance and participation.

Track student progress.

Conduct regular assessments and evaluations.

Provide constructive feedback

Identify students requiring additional support.

Recommend next-level progression or further training.

Maintain appropriate student progress records.

11. COURSE & MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT

The German Teacher will contribute to the continuous development and improvement of EduSmart's German language programs.

Responsibilities

Prepare lesson plans.

Develop exercises and practical activities.

Create worksheets and learning resources.

Prepare assessments and practice tests.

Develop exam preparation materials.

Develop Business German materials.

Adapt resources to different levels and learner profiles.

Suggest improvements to existing programs based on learner needs and feedback.

12. ONLINE & IN-PERSON TEACHING

The position may involve different teaching formats depending on EduSmart's programs and student needs.

Teaching formats may include:

Face-to-face classes

Online classes

Individual sessions 

Group classes

Corporate training

Workshops

Educational sessions

The teacher should be comfortable adapting lessons and activities to both physical and digital learning environments

13. REQUIREMENTS

Education Bachelor's degree in German, Education, Linguistics or a related field.

Language Proficiency

Excellent command of German.

C1/C2 level preferred.

Experience Previous German teaching experience is preferred.

Experience preparing students for Goethe-Zertifikat, ÖSD, telc, TestDaF or DSH is a strong advantage.

Experience teaching teenagers and adults is an advantage.

Experience in Business German is an advantage.

Translation experience is an advantage.
