Position Overview

• Reporting to: Strategic Accounts and Engineering Director, Wiring Systems
• Location: Tunisia (with functional oversight across global manufacturing sites: Tunisia, China, India, Mexico)

Role Intent & Main Mission

As the Engineering Leader for the Wiring Systems Business Unit, you will be fully accountable for the global engineering organization. You will set engineering direction, ensure technical excellence, customer responsiveness, and execution discipline to support the 2027–2029 strategic growth plan.

You will directly manage global design and project engineering teams, while functionally leading local engineering managers across manufacturing sites. Additionally, you will drive AI-enabled digital engineering transformation to enhance responsiveness, project visibility, and risk control.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineering Strategy & Governance: Set the engineering vision, annual objectives, and priorities aligned with business growth and customer needs. Act as the primary escalation point for engineering risks and technical decisions.
• Leadership of Design & Project Engineering: Directly lead the Global Design Manager and Project Engineering Manager. Oversee design standards, tools (Zuken), project governance, and customer technical support.
• Functional Site Leadership: Provide functional guidance to local Engineering Managers across global manufacturing sites (Tunisia, China, India, Mexico). Drive process standardization while respecting site ownership of manufacturing execution and quality.
• AI & Digital Transformation: Lead the development and adoption of AI workflows and digital tools to optimize RFQ responsiveness, change control, data standardization, and decision-making.
• Process & System Ownership: Own and continuously improve engineering processes, including project management, change control, AX/item master creation, and technical documentation.
• Customer & Commercial Support: Serve as a senior technical interface for major customer topics, collaborating closely with Key Account Managers (KAM).

Key Profile & Skill Requirements

• Engineering Leadership: Proven experience leading multi-site engineering teams using robust governance, clear KPIs, and structured escalation routines.
• Wiring Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of wiring systems design, design-for-manufacture (DFM), engineering change management, and manufacturing interfaces.
• Project & Program Delivery: Proven track record in managing project risks, resource allocation, and timing across global locations.
• Digital & Innovation Mindset: Experience or strong interest in integrating AI tools, digital workflows, and data-led performance management to improve efficiency.
• Systems & Process Mastery: Strong familiarity with engineering tools (e.g., Zuken), ERP/AX item master structures, and RFQ processes.
• Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills in English to align cross-functional teams (Design, Project Engineering, KAM, Manufacturing, and Senior Leadership).
