Description de l'emploi

FixOne is a growing Canadian-based service company providing residential and commercial repair, installation, and property services.

We are looking for an AI Automation Developer to help us identify, build, and implement practical AI-powered solutions that improve the way our company operates.

This is a hands-on development role focused on business automation, AI agents, workflow automation, integrations, and internal tools.

We are not looking for someone who only researches AI. We are looking for a developer who can take a business problem, design a practical solution, build it, integrate it into our existing workflow, and continuously improve it.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop AI-powered tools and automations for internal business processes
  • Build AI agents, chatbots, assistants, and workflow automation solutions
  • Integrate AI tools with CRM, databases, websites, email, and other business systems
  • Work with APIs, webhooks, automation platforms, and third-party services
  • Identify repetitive manual processes that can be improved through automation
  • Develop tools for customer service, sales, recruitment, operations, and administration
  • Work with LLMs and AI APIs to create practical business applications
  • Build data-processing and document-processing workflows
  • Test, troubleshoot, and improve AI-powered solutions
  • Maintain documentation for systems, integrations, and automation workflows
  • Work directly with management to understand business problems and translate them into technical solutions
  • Research new AI technologies and evaluate whether they can provide practical value to the company

Examples of projects you may work on

Depending on company priorities, projects may include:

  • AI-powered customer service assistants
  • Internal AI knowledge assistants
  • Automated lead qualification and follow-up
  • CRM automation
  • Recruitment and candidate-screening tools
  • Document and data processing
  • AI-powered reporting and business intelligence tools
  • Automated email and communication workflows
  • AI agents connected to internal business systems
  • Custom tools that reduce repetitive administrative work

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in software development, automation, or a related technical role
  • Strong programming fundamentals
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar programming languages
  • Experience working with APIs and third-party integrations
  • Understanding of databases, web applications, and automation workflows
  • Practical experience with AI/LLM tools and APIs
  • Ability to build solutions rather than simply experiment with AI tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Good written and verbal English communication skills

Strong assets

  • Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, or other LLM APIs
  • Experience building AI agents or RAG systems
  • Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar automation platforms
  • Experience with CRM integrations
  • Experience with web scraping and data-processing workflows
  • Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms
  • Experience working with Git/GitHub
  • Previous experience building AI solutions for businesses

French Language

French is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating professionally in both English and French.

French-speaking candidates outside Canada are encouraged to apply.

What you can expect from FixOne

  • Full-time remote position
  • Opportunity to work on real-world AI and automation projects
  • Direct access to business decision-makers
  • Significant ownership over the development of new AI solutions
  • Opportunity to experiment with emerging AI technologies
  • Practical projects with measurable business impact
  • Flexible remote work environment
  • Opportunity to grow with a developing Ontario company

International Candidates

This position is open to qualified candidates located outside Canada.

The successful candidate may initially work remotely from their current country of residence.

Depending on performance, business requirements, and immigration eligibility, there may be an opportunity to relocate to Canada and continue working with FixOne in the future.

Canadian relocation and work authorization are subject to applicable Canadian immigration requirements and are not guaranteed as part of the position.

What success looks like

Within the first months, you will be expected to understand how FixOne operates, identify opportunities for automation, and begin delivering practical AI solutions that save time, improve workflows, or generate measurable business value.

We are looking for someone who is curious, technical, practical, and excited about turning AI into useful tools that people actually use.
